I realize that the two World novels were actually a pair, and I was very happy to read the second one which completely brought the story to a finish, or at least a finished for now. I really enjoyed this one, and the characters really grew on me as the book went on, and I also really enjoyed the detail and excitement of the different scenes. Lisa Shearin is an excellent author who brings to life anything she puts to paper. It's amazing how much detail and how much imagination goes into all of her works, and this one was exceptional. I truly hope that I will have the chance to read more along the lines of these series. I look forward to seeing when her next one will come out, because I have read everything of her's I could get my hands on. Bravo!Product details

I absolutely love this series. I was so glad to see Tam get his story. He was my favorite character from the Raine Benares books. I can't wait for more adventures for Tam and his friends.
I really do love this world, and Tam, sexy beautiful Tam. Once again our brave heroes have saved the world, struck a blow against Goblin/Elf prejudice and lived to fight the Khrynsani another day. Can't wait for the next one!
Another throughly enjoyable addition to this world. Lots of action, humor, daring-do, and fun! The plot rollicks right along, the swashbuckling smash, and the buckles buckle. I can't wait for the next book to see what happens next.
Another installment of death defying adventure with Tam and Talon and Phaelan. I have loved getting to see these characters go on adventures that shows off what they are made of as characters, and this second book didn’t disappoint. I’m hopeful it won’t be the last time we see these crazy bunch of goblins and elves.
Still not as engaging as the Raine-based novels, but better than the first one. I think it is because Raine is such an intense, sarcastic character, and these people are just not as vivid. I love Tam, but I am just feeling like I read a chapter, not a whole book.
Maybe a novel that is a back-fill on a younger, up and coming Captain Benares will be in the works.
I love Lisa Shearin. I lose more sleep when I read her books, because I have to read one more chapter....
Tam is a great character, and his son Talon is evolving into a character to watch. This series is a must read.
I love this series..Lisa Shearin has created a fantastic world the style of her writing makes it easy to imagine Raines world.And her Characters are so well developed any one of them could carry this series on for a long time and you would have Fresh new stories in the same world .For me it is hard to pick a favorite character they all have qualities I like.This is a must read series starting with Magic Lost,Trouble Found.The first Raine Benares book.All the books are fast paced with action and adventure with lots of drama and humor and "Snarkieness".I hope Ms. Shearin keeps writing these books I would love to read from Many more of the characters point of view.
